MOUTH POPPING GREEN CAVIAR

Umi (sea) budo (grape) is a Japanese word and is derived from the appearance of the seaweed that looks like tiny clusters of green grapes or as some people fondly refer to them as green caviar. When you look at the sea grapes the bubbles, which are actually the leaves of the sea grape grow on a long stem which are also edible. These bubbles create a mouth watering and fine eating experience; crunchy, delicate but delicious they pop in your mouth.

The tiny shiny pearls or bubbles pop and burst in your mouth, creating a unique and enjoyable eating sensation of salty goodness. The Japanese call this “puchi puchi” referring to the bursting sound.
